I’ve tried going to the link that says, sign in with your amazon ID, and the fields don’t populate when I enter my info.

Check to see which one you’re being asked for on the dialog that comes up. I had this issue when they first switched to the new way of downloading books. The irritating thing is, they ask you to authorize your system every time you download a book and that is ridiculous.
