iOS 14 has many VoiceOver improvement(s). In the early betas, I went exploring
in the accessibility settings. I could not say anything, because of the
nondisclosure agreement, but since it’s out, image recognition is a game
changerer. Their is an app here in Canada called COVID alert. It is full of
images when first set up, and without iOS 14, I could not set it up. For phones
which support it, it is great. For phones that do not, their are a plethora of
features in iOS 14 you can get. Of course, the newer iPhones are always the
ones to get all features of an iOS upgrade, and in my view, when my iPhone SE
does not get all features of iOS in future software update(s) it is still a
good phone. So, to the iOS 14 haiters, nobody forst you to upgrade, and since
you hait iOS 14 anyway, it’s your own fault. The days of talks and Mobilespeek
predate me, but now screen reading, has became mainstream. The next heertal is
to get it mainstream on the windows platform. JAWS is way to expensive for most
people to afford, and its $350 biannually software maintenance agreements,
barbaric in my view. I tell you, if the conspect reached the cited market,
companies would be out of business! So stay true to VoiceOver, it’s miles
better than the cituation in Windows. Microsoft, they always say accessibility
is important to them, they develop Narrator at an ridiculously slow pace, and
if they’re actually serious, they would divert resources away from visual icons
to accessibility. I mean, VoiceOver on the Mac, everyone from what I’m told,
hated VoiceOver in Tiger. In Leopard, it was given a major overhaul. Snow
leopard , even more so. So be great full a mainstream company are not just all
talk and Apple, are actually action.
