I just tested this out and apparently if you turn on Image Description in
Voiceover Recognition this will turn it on for all apps. The Describe
Images option on the rotor controls its function per individual application.
If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

Stay safe and take care. Mike.

If you go into Settings, Accessibility, Voiceover and VoiceOver Recognition
you will find it there.

Not sure what its relationship is with the Rotor, does the Rotor override
the setting here?

  Hi Debbie,

I don't think there is a setting in Accessibility / Voiceover for turning
this on and off, at least I couldn't find it. I believe the only way to do
this is to add, Describe Images, to the rotor and once it's on the rotor you
highlight it and flick up and down to turn it on and off for each app.

Stay safe and take care. Mike.

  Hi,

I have an iPhone 8 and I did add described images to the roter. However,
isn’t there somewhere to turn this off under voiceover? I can’t seem to find
it. Is that feature available in a newer model of the iPhone or am I just
missing something which is highly likely?

  Thanks!

  Debbie
