I currently have Voice OCR and Voice Dream Scanner. Is Voice Dream Reader
part of these or, do I need to get the Reader to have the complete package?

About time! Especially here in Mexico and throughout Latin America, where
sometimes blind folks don't have the means to have both, Reader and scanner!
I wonder though if will the update have a light version of the scanner, to
give people a taste, to go and buy the stand-alone Voice Dream Scanner app?
Will the Voice Dream Scaner be still be available for those who only want a
scanner, and not the reader;

additional charge. I've never had any app where an update resulted in an
additional charge. Those apps that have made extensive changes requiring an
additional payment have all made it clear that the new app which has a name
to distinguish it from the original one has to be purchased.
I'll go on to say that anyone getting Voice Dream Reader for $9.99 USD is
getting an excellent deal especially after the update with scanning is
added.

I received a tweet tonight which was sent earlier today stating the
Voice Dream Reader has a new update coming out tomorrow that will include
the Voice Dream Scanner capabilities in Reader. The price will increase from
$14.99 to $19.99 USD. Reader is currently on sale for $9.99 which for those
who don't have it is a great price especially considering that scanning will
be included in it after the update. I don't know when the $9.99 sale price
expires but I just checked the App Store and that price was still available.
If you're interested in getting this app, I'd recommend you do it now.
