I recommend holding off and waiting until the 13 comes out. There are a couple of reasons for this. For one thing, the LIDAr is rumoured to be offered in all models of iPHONE so you'll have more flexibility about which kind of iPHONE to get without sacrificing that capability. The chip in the 13 series of iPHONEs will be more advanced which is always a good thing that adds years to how long your phone will be supported after purchase. Also, the 5G capabilities will be the second crack Apple takes at including in an iPHONE. Any lessons they learned from the experiences of iPHONE 12 owners will be incorporated into the 13s. Provided you're reasonably content with the iPHONE you have, I'd say it makes more sense to wait.
