Try Malcolm's recommendation for someone earlier. Open Bluetooth settings, with your speaker not connected. Find the Bose speaker and flick up to More and double tap. See if there is a setting for Speaker type or device type. Double tap on that and select speaker if it is an option rather than headphones etc. Then, the audio should go through the speaker, leaving VO on the phone.
