Again, this is Malcom's procedure. I want to give him full credit, and or blame, grin, since I did not know this existed before his note regarding another person's issue with a different brand. However, as Danny said, it worked for her Bose Mini Sound Link or whatever it is called.
Turn off the Bose speaker, so there is no active connection. Open your Bluetooth settings, and touch, but do not tap on the Bose speaker in the Bluetooth settings. Do a one finger flick up, and you should find a More info button. Double tap that button. Then, you may have to actually flick left to find the Device Type option if it is there. If it is, double tap it and you should have options like car, headphones, speaker, etc. Double tap on Speaker. Hit ok or done, or whatever to get back to Bluetooth settings. Turn on your Speaker. If it worked, again that lovely word "if", then VO should stay put on your phone. This worked for me once with the Echo Show 5. Then, VO went back to the speaker. I will try that again later, but others have reported it worked perfectly with their Bose speakers. I think everyone that is doing this is running the latest iOS 14.5 or 14.5.1. Maybe Malcom will chime in here., or Danny, to say which iOS they are running.
