I am not laughing. And yes I think that wearing the airpods max without the padded ear piece would be very uncomfortable. So, they are meant to be worn with the padded ear pieces. On each ear piece is a soft foam material and a hard plastic shell. Both the foam and the shell are detachable. My question is, is the hard plastic shell meant to be worn? I ask because when I wear the headset with the hard plastic shell attached. the audio has a tinny quality and my ears really start to hurt within 30 minutes or so.
