Hi Richard, I don't know how the Programming or Activity items got activated so that they could lock the speech rate, since I don't ever mess around in this folder, but I just don't have a clue how I could have bumped or moved something on the phone to make all this happen.
I'm wondering if this is something I did on the rotor. I had the Activities on the rotor and maybe that's what I did, was accidentally swipe up or down on the Activities item while turning the rotor. That whole section is there so you can set up different configurations for different apps or situations. So, if you wanted a different voice for a particular app, I think you can do that in there. When I opened this and opened the, Programs, option I noticed that I could chage the voiceover speech rate setting here, but nowhere else. There is also an item called, Activity 1, in here as well, but I don't recall ever purposely setting either the Programs or Activity 1, options up. Maybe this was done automatically somehow, or I set these 2 items up without knowing I did it. Anyways I deleted both the, Programs and Activity 1, items from the Activities folder and now my voiceover speech rate is again working in both voiceover settings and from the Speech Rate option on the rotor.
