As my personal computer woes are off-topic, I will make no further comments 
regarding my PC growing pains but it is nice to know that you and others 
sympathize.

At least I have learned enough to be able to send this using my new PC with 
Fusion.

You know?  12 or so years ago I would never have dreamed that Apple software 
would feel so stable, safe, and comfortable and that Windows software would 
feel so foreign, unstable, and, at times, down-right frustrating.

What a strange and terrible / wonderful time in which we live (smile).

After seeing this thread, I just approved all of the pending join requests in 
the queue.  

I apologize for the delay; my beloved primary PC of over 12 years, gave up the 
proverbial ghost, 2 weeks ago, and I have been climbing back into the 
proverbial Window via Windows 10, on a new PC with a new version of Fusion, 
ever since.  A painful climb, to be sure.

So many knew Windows-based skills to obtain such as learning Narator, Fusion, 
the latest version of Windows 10 Pro, itself, and one of the most painful of 
all, Microsoft 365.  

To be honest, it was almost enough to make me switch completely to Apple and 
the Mac but, like it or not, I still prefer that my primary computer be a PC 
desktop.

6 days after the loss of my primary PC here at HQ, my primary office router, 
which was about 10 years old, died.  To say that this was an unexpected blow, 
would be the understatement of the year.  

Okay, sorry for the vent.

Then, sending an email directly to Mark Taylor mk...@ucla.edu with something 
like, IMPORTANT: need to subscribe from this address" in the subject line.

He has to approve new subscriptions and if he isn't paying attention then it 
won't get done.
Then if that works, send an unsubscribe request from this currently subscribe 
address to: viphone+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com

I know of no other way to accomplish this.
