Hi, perhaps your iCloud backup is turned off? I know that happened to me once so when I turned back on iCloud backup in the iPhone settings and then plugging my phone to my computer to sink music from iTunes, it was working fine again. Or maybe under artists tab or songs tab in iTunes, not all the boxes are checked when you go through the list of what you have before tabbing over to apply button.
