Firstly,

Don't delete your library from itunes.

I did this and lost everything off my phones music app.

As for meta data,

If the music you are looking for is in your itunes or music app on a mac
computer,

Then it should automatically sync with yor phone music app,

Ensure that you are signed in to the itunes / apple id under the account tab,
And that you have icloud etc synching all your music as well.

You could move your music manually but I forget off the top of my head how to
do this now.

I know with my music app I just made sure I was signed in and it all showed up
automagically on the phone.

Subject: iTunes music library

Hello,  I have noticed that when transferring music from my computer to my
iPhone 8 via iTunes, not all of my music is showing up on my phone. There is
plenty of memory space, so I know that this is not the issue. I do know that
some of my song files are missing some metadata.  Could this be the reason for
songs not transferring?  I have been using MP3 Tagger to try to bring all files
into some sort of uniformity and when this is complete, how do I delete my
current library from iTunes, so I can import the properly labeled library?

Thanks,
Marty Hutchings
