OK, I stand corrected. Fantastical does allow the custom repeats for free. Good to know. However, the native Calendar app works fine as well. The advantage Fantastical may offer is that you can write out a phrase and have it set things in the correct parts of the appointment. That is what I used to like about it before they got all strange. It appears they are back to being fairly straight forward.
