If you don't want to enable the Hands Free feature you can still use the Amazon Alexa app if you do the following: 1. Open the Amazon Alexa app. 2. Do not close the app, but go to the app switcher and do a single finger double tap on the app from the app switcher, and it should speak / work normally.
