Hi Mary, One way to get around this is to, after you open the Alexa app go to the app switcher and single finger double tap the Alexa app again. Now the sound will come through your speakers. This has to be done every time you use the Alexa app like this.
There's another work around and I'll post the steps as soon as I can find them. Stay safe and take care. Mike.
