Hello Mary, I use caliber with Narrator as I am not a JAWS user. For the record I use Dolphin’s Screen Reader as my primary access software.
caliber is a little tricky to use as Narrator loses focus especially when selecting your output format. If you Tab and Shift Tab out of and back into the format list you can make your selection and do the convert. While not ideal, it certainly can be used.
