Not in your contacts is certainly a part of it. Also, it isn’t carrier specific
as I get this stuff with T-Mobile.

What happens may be carrier-specific – I don’t know.

Thanks for the tips regarding deleting multisle messages in a conversation.

I'm just speculating here, but my guess is that the "report spam" prompt may be
carrier-specific. I'm with AT&T and I'm given the option to report the message
to my carrier. The other possibility is that the message in question is from
someone who isn't in my contacts. Any thoughts?

Tom

Open the conversation, flick to the message you want to delete, then flick down
to "More" and double tap. This will select the message and at the bottom of the
screen you have options for "Delete" and "Forward". Obviously delete is what
you want to tap on and that particular message will be removed from the
conversation.

If you want to delete more than 1 message flick to "More" on the first one,
then double tap, now find the next message to be deleted and double tap on it
and it will also be selected. Repeat until you selected all the messages you
want to delete and then tap on "Delete" at the bottom. Voiceover will ask to
confirm and if you check the screen you will see that it will say something
like "Delete 5 messages" (if 5 is how many you selected).

When I attempt to delete a text message I am asked if I want to delete the
conversation. How can i simply delete one message at a time?

Subject: deleting text messages

Hello since upgrading any time I delete a text message I get a message asking
if I want to report the message. I am usually clicking don’t report. My
question is can I stop this message from coming up each time I delete a text?
If so, can someone let me know how to turn this off.
