Margaret, there's one more cool thing about the VIP box. You can have a
different sound for when mail is downloaded into your VIP box. I have found
this feature to be very useful.
If you can't find how to do it e-mail me off list and I'll explain it.

Subject: RE: 3 questions on New VIP folder in mail

Hi Margaret,

Your 3 questions can be answered all at once:

Go into the Mail app and find the VIP mailbox, then slide your finger to the
right or swipe right once. You find a button which Voiceover announces as
"More info, VIP button".
Double tap on it.
Now you have "Mailboxes, back button" at the top left of the screen.
Swipe right once and you have a heading called "VIP List".
Swipe right once more and at the top right of the screen underneath the
battery level is an Edit button, it will be dimmed if you have nobody in
your list yet.

Now if you already added one or more people they will be listed.
At the bottom of the list you will hear "Add VIP", Voiceover does not say
it's a button or anything, but if you double tap here your Contacts will all
show up and you can select somebody to add to the VIP list.

If you want to delete, for example, John Smith, do the following:
Double tapp on the Edit button at the top right of the screen, then if you
flick left once when you are on John Smith you hear "Delete John Smith,
switch button off".
Double tap on this and Voiceover will say "Confirm deletion for John Smith
button", just double tap again and John's no longer a VIP!

OK, now that I told you the complicated way to delete somebody, here is the
easy way:
When you are in your VIP List just flick up or down with a single finger and
you hear "Delete", now double tap and he's gone.
This is the Action rotor which has been implemented here and you can delete
people from the VIP List just as you can delete an email, a SMS conversation
or you can also use this gesture to delete somebody from your Favourites in
the phone app.
If you flick down and hear delete but then decide you don't want to delete
them after all, just flick up or down again and it goes back to "Default".

Regards,
Sieghard
