I don't want to talk anybody out of buying a bread maker if they really think
they want such a device, in fact I am guilty of buying into this fad back in
the late 90's when they first became popular.
However, I would like to point out that making the kind of basic bread you can
make in a bread maker is really quite easy and really all the bread maker does
is to combine 3 tasks which is to mix/knead, rise/proof the dough and then bake.
You still have to put the ingredients, typically flour, water, yeast,, a bit of
salt and potentially any seeds you may add into the bread maker. I would highly
recommend to read a bit about making bread, learn a few ground rules about
activating "active dry yeast" and try to mix/knead the dough, then let it rise,
punch it back down and let rise again and finally bake. It's a very satisfying
process and the results once you get the hang of it are better than what comes
out of a bread maker.
There is of course an entire different area of bread making when you start
using sour dough and making heavy bread with flour such as spelt, Red Fife,
Einkorn or other ancient grains, but that type of bread can't be made in a
bread maker anyways.
My bread maker, it was from the brand "Regal", got used maybe a dozen times and
then it sat around for 10 or 15 years before I finally sold it for $25 on
Facebook.

Quisineart, it has physical buttons and defaults to 1 when turned off. You
should be able to get the hang of it, it has physical buttons and if you get
stuck can use Be My Eyes or IRA to read the screen. I enjoy mine though am also
following in case there is a better suggestion out there.
