Yes, open your Messages App and swipe to the, Edit button, and single
finger double tap, to open, now swipe to, Show recently deleted, and open
this. I can't give any more steps because I don't have any deleted messages
to recover, but just swipe around and I believe you'll be able to figure it

Updated to 16.6 from 16.2 recently.
No bugs so far but have noticed with 16.6 devices seem to get warm. Not
