Have you tried to turn on screen recognition to see if that helps with the app?
You should also tell your apartment management they should put pressure on the
developer to make the app more accessible, you can also contact them yourself,
but it wouldn't hurt if they did as well. Hopefully the developer is receptive
and willing to do this.
As for suggesting another app that really is not possible if you don't know the
system and what works with it. I would request a meeting with whoever is in
charge of this type of stuff from your management company to discuss and
explore options.

Subject: Need Accessible App for Apartment Intercom System

Hello,

My apartment management recently switched to a new app for use with our
intercom system. With the old app, a person would punch in your apartment
number, your phone would ring, you would answer & see who it was then press 9
to trigger the door to unlock. Apparently this system was quite old & I am
told they could not enter any new numbers into the system. The new app, called
AIPHONE IXG, is not accessible. It only gets a 2 star rating so am not sure
why they chose it. In order to use it, I have to turn voice over off. Luckily
I can see enough to hit the answer phone button. Then I have to tap on 2 more
things then slide a door icon over to trigger the door to unlock. I cannot see
well enough to tap on the 2 places needed to get to the door icon. Does anyone
know of an accessible intercom app I can suggest to management?

Thanks,
Sherry Wells
