Hi Robert, I am also running the iOS 17.1 Developer Beta and I just used my Logitech K780 keyboard this morning to reply to a bunch of messages. I had this keyboard paired to my phone forever and while I wasn't doing anything fancy, as soon as I switched it on I was able to type into the edit field on Facebook, the Messages app and also in WhatsApp.
