Hi Everyone,

I'm glad to report that with the arrival of the official release of iOS 17.1 Apple has addressed whatever was causing Westminster Chimes to not sound unless it was set to appear in notification center. It now works with the app developer's original configuration. I.E. the only thing turned on under notifications for the app is sounds. So no clutter in the notification center or lock screen for it. Note for those who want it to verbalize by speaking an alert instead of chiming you still have to have VoiceOver set to verbalize notifications which is a universal setting and will impact more than just the chimes apps. so embrace that as you see fit.

I'm also glad to report that the notification sounder for in coming emails has once again resurrected as well.

Happy chiming and alerting one and all.

Take good care,

Robin
