And for us with both Alexa and google smart speakers in the house, it's amazing how I am sometimes in the kitchen where we have one of the Google speakers with a display and I am 5 feet away from it and speak in the direction of the speaker and I ask something and next thing the Nest Mini in the living room replies even though it's 15 feet away and completely around a corner and wall, same happens sometimes with Alexa, we have an Echo Dot 4th gen in the bedroom and may say something and instead I hear the Sonos One speakers in the bathroom reply and that has happened with the bathroom door closed. I recently read on a Sonos Facebook gtroup that adding Alexa to Sonos makes it less reliable, not sure if that really is so, but maybe it is.

Siri is not the only dumb one out there. We have timers set in Alexa for different things. We have a lot of Sonos speakers in the house, the one in our bedroom does not have the microphone and so does not support Alexa. IN our Kitchen we have two that do have the microphone and have one timer set up called "Carol's Timer" which is for steeping her tea. This morning, standing in the kitchen next to the speaker, I said, "Start Carol's timer," and Alexa responded, "Bedroom doesn't support that." This sort of thing happens at a similar frequency with Siri being dumb, which is what we get for depending on "Artificial Intelligence." And I do mean Artificial! CAUTION: This is an External email. Please send suspicious emails to ab...@michigan.gov I have folders too. I’ve been using iPhones for years. But after a while, you get more apps. And besides, even if you know precisely what folder an app is in, you still have to open the folder find the app and open it. If Siri worked like it should, it would be much more efficient to just use it to open apps. But even this morning, when I say Open such and such app and give the precise name, it comes back and asks me which app do you want this one that one or another one, all in the same general app category. This after I’ve stated something specifically. Anyway, this just started with the so-called upgrade to 17.1. Feels like a regression to me. And there wasn’t that much to regress from. I still prefer iOS to android. But really Apple. Get it together on Siri.
