When Siri starts to act up on me, usually it’s because I have spoken too
quickly. I either speak very quickly, saying Siri do such and such or if I push
in the side button. I don’t wait long enough before I say Siri do such and
such. It seems if I slow down a little bit, she always does what I ask her.
That’s my experience anyway, giving her a little time to respond, makes all the
difference in the world.

Siri is working for me in 17.1. It makes sort of a different sound.

I asked her a couple of questions and got her to make a call, which I normally
don't do. Siri made the call for me, and answered my questions.

I never use Siri to open apps. I never saw the point. I also don't mind the
no Siri sound when holding down the side button. Really, it isn't that big a
deal.
