Why not just get a MagSafe charging stand, most of them are made so the phone can be used for Facetime in either portrait or landscape orientation and the benefit is that your phone charges at the same time. I personally have the Belkin 3-in-1 stand which has a spot for the iPhone, an Apple Watch and a set of Airpods which I don’t have, but while I can’t see myself buying any at this time, one should never say never. And if you are ever in the market for a good wireless keyboard to use with your iPhone and possible a computer at the same time, the Logitech K780 has a slot across the back which can hold an iPhone and even an iPad standing up. Apart from that there is a large number of little stands and tripods available from Amazon and other sellers which all allow you to position your iPhone for Facetime and other video calls without having to hold the phone. Of course if you are sitting at a table you could just lean it up against something.

I do not know about the 15's but remember that the phone will sit flat with the camera either pointing down to the table or up toward the ceiling, so trying to do FaceTime would be pretty much impossible. You would want a stand that held the phone at more of an upright angle. The stand is a wooden frame with an adjustable piece for the different width phones. I don't know about the extra large phones.
