If you reset network settings do you have to do anything to the apps that are in your phone when this action is taken?  I've never done this before and don't wish to loose any of my apps or what is stored in them if possible.  However, if this is possible, then I'll know to make a backup of the phone before doing so.

This is the strangest thing, all these problems I have been having with the phone app on my phone lately.

I thank you for this, but can you imagine having to reset the network settings just to turn on the caller ID?

I think it was just some weeks ago, I was having a problem because calls were showing up on my phone that I didn’t even make.

I can’t help but wonder is all this related to my phone carrier?

Mind boggling to say the least!

If you cannot turn it on, have you tried to close all apps and restart your phone?

If that doesn't help, I would recommend you go to General Settings > Reset and do a Reset Network Settings. Then try again.

Keep in mind that after Reset Network Settings you will have to reconnect to  your Wi-Fi and also change the name of your iPhhone back to what you want in Settings > General > About.
