You said you drained your iPhone/iPad battery? Why not use AC power
adapter while viewing Youtube videos? It's done all the time. I use an
older SE 2020 the way sighted people use an iPad or Mac Computer. Since
I am blind and I don't need fancy graphics/video, I use the iPhone when
connected to power to listen to hours of football and baseball via
SiriusXM and Tune In weekly through out the year.

know is if it’s working with YouTube Can you use it to watch a YouTube videos

Is it possible to look a specific videos on YouTube using touchscreen with
screen reader the same as you are using on the iPhone?
Also, is it possible to type the letters and look the videos by typing keywords?
