Keith, F6 moves you to different sections in iTunes, for example, I don't think there is any other way to get from the iTunes Store area back to the source list because if you use tab you just move around inside the iTunes store pages.
F6 also is an important key if you ever use F1 (Help) in some applications. Often you have a list of topics on the left and after you press enter on a topic to select it you have to use F6 to jump into the right Window where the information is presented.
