I feel like I ask this every couple years. Now that we’re on a new OS major update, have things gotten any better on the iPad OS in terms of general productivity? I tried Mac OS. It wasn’t quite what I was looking for, but now with new tweaks like the addition of a menu bar, do people find themselves using it as a kind of a laptop on the go? And, if you are, which text editor are you using? I’ve been looking for something with Dropbox integration. I’ve given up on something that works with Word files. Plain text is fine, but the subscription model of apps like Ulysses have given me pause. Yes, I know everything is moving toward a subscription model, but I would still rather pay a steep charge up front and not worry about paying more until there are major updates.
