If they cannot touch the screen for any reason, then they could try this. Temporarily turn on Voice Control by telling Siri Turn on Voice Control, Make their call, and when VoiceOver starts counting, say swipe right, then say Siri Turn off Voice Control, otherwise lots of strange things can happen as it may interpret other phrases as commands.
