Two different things are getting tangled together here, and that is why the swipe finds nothing.
Hearing that the ad can now be skipped tells you the ad has reached the point where skipping is allowed. It does not tell you the Skip control is on screen at that moment. The Skip button lives in the player's own control overlay, and that overlay fades itself out while a video is running. Once it has faded, there is no Skip button to swipe to, because it is not on screen at all. That is also why Screen Recognition did nothing for you, and your test there is worth more than it looks. Screen Recognition works on what is actually drawn on the screen. If the controls have faded out, there is nothing drawn for it to find, so it has nothing to hand you. A negative result like that is still an answer. So the order matters. Get the player controls back up first, then go looking for Skip. I am not going to guess the exact gesture for bringing the controls back on 27, because I would rather not send you hunting for something I have not confirmed on that release myself. Somebody here will have it exact. One more thing worth checking, since you say this started two or three days ago. When a fault starts the same week something changed, the change is the first suspect, and the YouTube app moves its player controls around far more often than iOS does. Did YouTube update itself on your phone around the time this started?
