Hi Mickey, what makes a big difference here, at least for me, is to go into
Notification Center, choose "alert Style", and set it to alert, the default
is banner. That way, when an incoming call comes in, you get a dialog that
pops up with an answer button at the bottom. The one down side to this, and
I wish Skype could separate the two somehow, is that you also get an
interupting pop-up when someone instant messages you.

I find it impossible to answer the phone when you're using Skype with the
iPhone you get a call and by the time you figure out how to answer it's gone
