Thank you ever so much.  I was in the wrong spot.  Funny how when you get
into an app just being off on the screen only a fraction of an inch can
cause it not to work as well as it could.

The dots are basically right where you said. Dot 6 should be Right by the
home button, and dot 3 by the ear piece.
