May be  you hold incorectly your hphone, you have to hold it with your two 
palms, screen facing away from you, horizonntaly, with home button to the 
left.

You dont have to put the phone  on a desk, that is not the more easy 
position to type.
And when you say you draw the shape of aletter what do you mean? you dont 
have to slide your fingers, only to tap, example, letter l, press 
simultaneously  your second third and fourth finger of the left hand
It is critical to understand correctly the position, then you can be quite 
fast in typing...
The app has some latency in my opinion, but  in 1'0 minute tpractice i am a 
lot faster than with normal keyboard...
I yhave to say that gthe guide should have ben clearer, ony by listening 
podcast and reading various mails i understood  the correct position.
It is not easy to explain in words, maybe someone could do a video, so with 
sighted help one can see the correct position..
