Do the following, that's if you have an iCloud. Sind out of her iCloud, sidn sign in with yours, tell it to murdge, then sign out of yours, and tell the phone to keep them, then sign back in with your wifes account, and you should have it the way you want. I have been incouraging my family to get an iCloud address specifically for this reason, it's a great way to back up your contacts, I haven't had to do it for 2 years and I love it!
