I know I'm thinking back a few years ago when I had more sight and was using
an iPod, but I seem to recall being able to set it so Windows recognized it
as an external USB device for transferring files to it, etc. Is it possible
to do this with the newer iPhones? I scoured the various settings in iTunes
11 and couldn't come up with it. Can someone provide information on whether
this is possible and how to do it?

Or maybe there is no longer a reason for doing this and I'll listen to
arguments on that score too.

Thanks in advance.
