I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's a free app and anybody blind or
sighted can download it. Yes it's a good app but so is tap tap see so why not
add that too to the accessibility section. If you want the app, download it.
If you don't, then move on.

  Hi Sieghard,

You know the old story. You may not win a lottery if you buy a ticket but,
you certainly won't if you don't.

All we can do is ask.

  Hello,

This is also the response I received and a very standard response; I have
received many of them about different requests I emailed about and they are all
worded in a similar way. I am not sure if it's much better than if they said
"Sorry, but we don't this feature and currently have no plans to do so", at
least I wouldn't hold my breath about it. I think if anything this is a bigger
issue and deals with how much Apple controls the amount of access developers
have in general to system wide integration. The problem is that if Apple
allowed, for example, Fleksy to integrate their keyboard as a system option
then other developers could and would ask for the same, Braille and Touch would
want to make their keyboard available, developers would want the ability to
integrate SIRI into their apps and so on. Maybe this will happen over time, but
I doubt Apple would allow it if they didn't have a way to put very strict
limits into place as to how far a developer can go.

  Regards,

  Sieghard

  Hello,

Thank you for your email. At this time iOS does not include the ability to
enable a third-party keyboards as the default keyboard for the device. Apple
appreciates your feedback and will pass this on to the appropriate people
  for their consideration.

  Apple Accessibility

  Hi,

As a blind user of IPhone, I find that you have done wonderful things to
make it accessible. There is an app called Flecksy that was created for
blind people to be able to type much faster on a flat screen. It is
estimated that most blind people can type about 3 times faster with Flecksy
as with the regular touch keyboard. The only problem is that we have to
copy and paste our text to the application of our choice making it lose some
  of its time saving advantage.

I would like to see the Flecksy keyboard as part of the Apple keyboards
built-in to the IOS that we could select and use in just any and all
  applications.

You don't have to be blind to greatly improve typing speed with Flecksy.
This would also be a great advantage to all IPhone users making the flat
  screen more enjoyable for all

  Thank you for your attention

  Ron
