Hi Troy, The answer to your first two questions is to explore:
www.applevis.com <http://www.applevis.com/> There are reviews of all kinds of apps, guides to various things, podcasts about apps etc. If you hear VoiceOver say No Heading, it is because you have the rotor set to headings and you have done a one finger flick up or down. If you don't know what the rotor is, look in the app store for the Looktel Voiceover Tutorial and go through it. In the app store, the related searches will be in what is called "a picker list". Touch the bottom left corner of the screen where it says Featured Tab. Then slide your finger up just a tiny bit and you will hear something like police scanner, 1 of 50. If you have hints enabled, it will then say flick up or down to select item or something like that. So, once VoiceOver has focus on that first item, flick up with one finger and you will find the second item and so forth. Then, go back to the top of the screen and you will find the details about that app. HTH, Richard _____ From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Troy Sullivan Sent: Saturday, March 02, 2013 10:45 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: new IPhone user with some questions Hi all, I figured instead of bombarding the verizon list with IPhone questions thought I'd join this one. I am a new IPhone user and have some questions. My first one is are there any games in the game center that work with voiceover? Related to that where can I get a list of accessible IPhone games? Also I am looking for a weather radio app that works with voiceover. I know noaa weather radio does but there's also one I saw called IMap weather radio, I can't find any info on it's compatibility with voiceover. In the newest update to I OS 6 I notice sometimes voiceover will say heading not found, what does this mean? Also regarding the app store, if I search for an app that is similar to one I already have installed it will highlight the open button to that particular app instead of showing free, $.99, etc. An example of this would be I already have a police scanner app installed but I saw one that I liked better, well when I search for that app it will show the one I want so I double tap on it and it will go back to the app I've already had installed. How do I get around this? Well I think that's all the questions I have for now. Thanks! Troy -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
