The HQ version in the past has slowed down some apps. I was using the high
quality voice but I also noticed it automatically switching back to compact
voice and then back to high quality and I just went back to the compact
voice and left it there. All that having been said, it's a matter of
personal preference. If it isn't causing slow-downs when web browsing or in
other apps then by all means use it. If it is slowing things down then
you'll probably give up on it like many of us have and stick with the
compact or low quality voice. Your choice!

Do you prefer to use the compact or HQ voice on your iPhone? I'm
asking because I've met several people recently who prefer to use the
compact voice and can't even tell a difference between the compact and
high quality voice when I've pointed it out to them. Personally, I
hear a big difference between the two but it seems that many people
don't. The high quality voice sounds so much clearer to me and I
couldn't imagine switching back. But I've also been told the compact
voice is faster and more responsive and I know many people who don't
want anything to do with the high quality one. I'm considering using
it for a while if it really is slightly more responsive, but the
quality difference between them is so significant for me that I'm not
sure I can switch for long. So, which do you prefer and why?
