Hi, for normal use, especially at higher rates, I like using the compact
voice because in my opinion, the HQ voice doesn't sound as good. At
higher speeds it sounds too choppy for me. Now, for slower reading, like
text books using Nook, or ILike2Read, then I will enable the HQ voice
and slow the rate to about 60 instead of my normal 100. I wish there was
a quick way one could toggle HQ and compact voice because of this.

I love the compact voice. it is not as loud and strong and low but it
sounds tome like a genuine voice, and I have used this since the verry
beginning. of course it is allindividual preference and they will
