I guess I should have mentioned that I am hanging onto iTunes version 10 and the Automatically add to iTunes folder is directly in the iTunes folder in that version. I don't want to go to 11 because I read on the list that you can't sync individual audio books with 11 and I don't want all the books on my phone at one time.

Hi Rose and Sherry,

Rose, Sherry's description is almost correct except that all the folders
where your media is stored like Audio Books, Music, Ringtones, Movies (if
you have any) etc. are in a folder called iTunes Media. iTunes Media is in
the iTunes folder and the iTunes folder is in your Music folder. As Sherry
pointed out, after you press the Start menu in Windows 7 arrow right once,
then arrow down and you should find your Documents folder, Music Folder,
Pictures folder etc. I think by default they all show up, you can hide them
in that list, but unless you specifically do so they should be there.
If you use the default settings when you installed iTunes, the iTunes folder
also will always be in the Music folder.

There really is no difference between the folder and file structure in
Windows 7 and Windows XP except that in Windows 7 usually the music folder
is called "Music" and in Windows XP it was "My Music". Same goes for
Documents/My Documents and Pictures/My Pictures.
Remember, all these folders are stored in c:\users\Rose (assuming your
Windows user name is Rose.
If you simply press the Start Key and type c: and then press enter, you can
then type "u" for users", "r" for Rose" and this is another way to get to
your personal folders. Documents, Desktop, Downloads, Music, Pictures etc.
all of these folders will be there.

Regards,
Sieghard

Rose,
You don't need to type in any path names to find the folder.
Press windows key to open Start menu.
Right arrow once to Shut Down and then down arrow to Music.
Press i to get to the iTunes folder
The folder is in there and is called "Automatically add to iTunes"
If you bring up the context menu with Applications key or Shift F10 while
you are on this folder you can choose Send to desktop.
That puts a shortcut to the "Automatically add to iTunes" folder on your
desktop where it is easy to find.

I e-mail to the PC, then open and they move themselves to iTunes, I don't
have to do directory searches, something that was easy in Windows XP but
seems to be more difficult in 7, that is the directory structure seems a lot
different to me and I have more problems going where I want, in fact I have
never seen the folder you all talk about for adding stuff to iTunes.
Admittedly I have not looked particularly hard and I truly hate long path
names with a lot of slashes to get anywhere, it means more stuff can be done
but just like long URLs they are a pain.

Hi there. I am glad you find the app useful. It is true that it is not very
professional, but if you're looking for fun ring tones then this is the best
one that I have found. When you mentioned emailing the ringtones to
yourself, are you meaning on the regular PC or everything from the iPhone?
It is my understanding in order for ringtones to be added successfully, they
need to be done via iTunes on the computer. Although, there is a way to do
it from the iPhone since you can purchase ring tones from the iTunes app in
the iPhone itself. I have never done this since I have never purchased music
or tones from iTunes. So I admit that I do not have much experience with
this. I always make my own ring tones or get them from an app like the one I
suggested.

Thanks for this heads up. I downloaded the app and was amazed at the
number of ring tones available. The directions were very complete and easy
to understand. I also liked the fact that is was super easy to just email
the ringtones to myself and put them into iTunes just by playing the ring
tone attachment.

The following is a good source for cool ring tones. Once you download them
using the app they show up in the file sharing section of iTunes when your
phone is connected. You get 10 free downloads and adds. If you upgrade to no
ads then you also get unlimited downloads. The cost for that is $1.99. Have
fun.
