Hi,
for some it has to do with the source from which the weather info is coming.
I believe the native app gets its info from yahoo weather and the weather
channel. Others might prefer other sources believing them to be more
accurate. I suppose similar opinions govern which alerting apps people
prefer as well or the timely nature with which the push notifications
arrive.
As I said more options is never a bad thing in my view.

forecast be read via VO? I live in an area where the weather changes
constantly and rapidly. Sunny and warm in the morning then snow, windy and
freezing in the afternoon. So, I'd like to be able to have access to this
information. I love the Fahrenheit app for temperature monitoring and it
gives me the temperature forecast in three hour increments but it doesn't
note weather it will be windy, snowy, or rainy.
