That's a great question tom. I rarely use radio apps as I'm strange in that I
prefer to listen to my own music collection. I have maybe 80 CDs that I've
collected over the years that I like all the songs or almost all the songs on
the disc so it was easy to rip them to mp3 and protect my collection. I want
to say that the settings you make in music would apply but I'd be taking a
guess. I haven't noticed any differences so off the top of my head I'd say
that the changes would be across the board for music playback. Check it
yourself and let me know what you find. I'd be interested in hearing your
experiences.

  Hi,
Thanks. I'd seen that some time ago but didn't think the EQ worked for such
apps as Pandora or any of the radio apps. I thought it only worked for the
stock music app that came with my phone.

There is an equalizer on iPhone that works very well. Go to settings,
Music, E Q. I would of rather had a choice of sliders to adjust but that's what
I'm use to but you can add bass or reduce it or have more treble etc and the
default setting is flat..

      Hi,

Audiofiles used to say. “No highs, no lows, must be a Boes.

And that's probably still true. Bose probably set them up to give a
more-or-less flat response, which is okay by me. It's too bad that Apple
didn't set up any sort of equalizer which will work with apps like Pandora and
other streaming/music player apps other than the native music app. I'd really
like that feature. Is there such an app that will let me tweak the sound
outside of the native music app? Just curious.

BTW, I just bought a set of the Apple EarPods and really like them. I
used the native music app to play one of my favorite albums and the drum tracks
sounded so much more present than with my old Apple earbuds. The difference,
to my ears, was pretty darn impressive.
