Hello List,

Just noticed the the All Access Talking Menu update is out. The app does
seem a bit more streamlined and interestingly enough when I went to "Nearby"
it went straight into the listing for a restaurant here called "Alpenhorn",
I assume maybe because it's the first alphabetically. This restaurant didn't
even show up before in the app, now it is there and has the Menu with
descriptions and pricing. very nice.

However, maybe Todd can answer this, after each menu category as well as
after each dish within the categories there are anywhere from 1 to 3
unlabelled buttons which don't seem to do anything, I assume maybe they are
pictures and, if so, couldn't they be hidden to make swiping through the
dishes a better experience?

Also, it would be nice if that z-gesture for activating the back button
could be implemented. I find it more intuitive and faster than to find the
back button at the top left each time and use it a lot in apps where it
works.

Lastly, how do I get back to the listing of restaurants? I am placed
straight into the listing for "Alpenhorn" when I tap on Nearby. I am on the
main screen with the following layout:

Top Row:

Back button at the top left

Alpenhorn Bistro and Bar button in the middle

Help button at the top right

Under Back is the Menu button and it is the first swipe right from "Help".

Under Help is the Map button and it is next if you swipe right again after
menu.

Underneath Menu (on the left side) is Phone and it comes after Map if you
continue swiping.

Under Map (on the right side) is a Web, button, once again, it's another
swipe right after phone.

Last is the Weather button and I seem to only get to it by swiping right one
more time from Web, if I move my finger around the screen to explore I can
only find Menu and Phone on the left and Map and Web on the right.

OK, so I just did a 3-finger swipe up and Voiceover said "Page 2 of 3" and
now the Weather button was there right under "Back" which means the other 4
buttons on page 1 were now off the screen. There is a page 3 of 3, but it
still only has Weather.

All in all, it's much easier and faster to swipe to the button you want
since there are only 5 and, I guess in cases where there is no menu, there
would only be Map, Phone, Web and Weather.

If I double tap on "Back" from the main screen of the "Alpenhorn Bistro and
Bar" I get Back at the top left, "Results" in the middle and "Help" at the
top right. However, the rest of the screen is blank, i.e. Voiceover says
"Empty List" which is strange since it did go straight into the one
restaurant and in the last app there were quite a few listings for my town.

A 3-finger swipe down says "Refreshing Content", but still nothing shows up
in the list.

Across the bottom I see 4 categories, "Select All", "Select American",
"Select Bakery" and Select Bar/Pub/Brewery".

A 3-finger swipe from right to left tells me it is now on page 2 of 7 and 4
new categories show up:

Select Bbq, Select Select Chinese, Select Coffee/Tea and Select
Deli/Sandwiches.

If I double tap on "Select All" it goes right back into Alpenhorn Bistro and
Bar and I seem to be unable to see or select any other restaurants.

In fact, when I first double tap on "Nearby" on the main screen of the app
and touch the screen in the middle it says "Accessing All", but once again,
the list is empty and it goes straight into Alpenhorn Bistro and Bar.

OK, Todd, how much is Sascha, the owner of the Alpenhorn paying you for
doing this *smile*.

There is also a "Search for Business by Type" button on the main screen, but
it does the same thing, it goes straight into "Alpenhorn Bistro and Bar".

It would be interesting to find out if others experience the same thing,
i.e. if it goes into an "A" listing for where they live with nothing else on
the list. I know Todd monitors the list, so I look forward to any comments
as well as reviews from other users.

Regards,

Sieghard
