Based on one short trip to a local restaurant, it is seamless to find a POI.
It directed us where we wanted to go, but, due to complications, while we
were eating our meal my battery went dead so I did not use it going home.
It was at 100% when I left home, but I was using Bluetooth earphone and the
seeing app and we had some minor problems on the way to the restaurant so it
took longer than expected.

Does anyone know, I hoped that I saved my registration but, my husband had
the phone while I was typing on the Bluetooth keyboard so I am not sure. I
know you should be able to check under settings, but when I press
subscription it goes nowhere, hoping it means it is registered.

Still learning a lot, only went less than a mile from home but since it is
101 degrees out there I don't feel like doing more tests today.

I noticed in the Users Guide there were 3 ways to get POIs - NavTech,
FourSquare, and OSM.

Does this mean we have to look for POIs in 3 different ways, or should this
be seamless to the end-user?

I use BlindSquare, but not FourSquare. Would I need to sign up with
FourSquare to use FourSquare POIs within the Seeying Eye GPS app?

Thanks. Keith

To alleviate your concerns somewhat, the maps in the Seeing I app are not
stored on your phone at all. They are stored in the cloud so presumably they
are updated regularly on the servers themselves. Thus, you don't have the
same problem that you have with other conventional GPS applications of
having to download map updates to your phone. I hope this helps.

Hi, for those of you familiar with both the new Seeing Eye GPS app and the
core Maps app, can you lay out the differences? I understand turn by turn
walking directions are not available until iOS 7. Anything else? My biggest
concern with the Seeing Eye app is the longevity of the maps. I don't want
to pay an annual subscription only to be stuck with only annual map updates.
Mind you, I don't know that this is the case, just an observation from using
previous Sendero products.
