When opening safari, the last page in which was being viewed is opened. In your case, you either mistyped the pages address or the page that you tried to open from your bookmarks is down for whatever reason. Use the pages tab, found at the bottom right in safari and close the page. Then try retyping the desired website or opening the page from your bookmarks.
