I to upgraded via iTunes for the first time and I am very glad I did. It makes the update procedure must easier to follow since you can check on the progress all the way through the upgrade. If you do it via wifi there comes a point when you have no speech. I used my mac book pro, but I am certain it works just as well using a windows machine. Be sure to upgrade to the latest version of iTunes 11.1 before beginning the upgrade.
