Hi, I think you might be overreacting a bit here. The Update that came on the 5s and 5C might be something hardware related to just those phones. For example, people who had the iPhone 5, or an iPad mini were running IOS 6.14 while everyone else could only run up to 6.13. This was due to an update that was specifically targeted for those 2 devices. Your not being left behind. :)
