I can still listen to books in the BARD Mobile app that I downloaded before the shutdown, so it's not true that the BARD Mobile app is no good without it's data connection. You need the data connection though to download books in the BARD Mobile app or read books that you transferred to your phone some other way, but if you downloaded the books in the app itself or started reading them before the shutdown then you can continue to read those books.

You are right,
the UbiDisk action button is now the share button.
I believe we can not import any books while Bard is shut down.
I upgraded to the iPhone 5 S and was very sad to see that none of my
downloaded books was restored from my backup through iTunes.
so unless someone has any more info, it seems the bard app is no good
without the connection to its home base!

Rob it worked the first time and now it doesn't seem to work for me..
Here are my steps

After using easy push to send a file to my iDeviceI then go to the
download
section inside ubidisk and tap more info on the file I want
I then tap share then "open in" and chose bard mobile which brings up
the
bard mobile screen
but I am not finding the new book. What have I forgotten? I thought I
remembered seeing a progress bar the first time when it worked but not
this
time.

Subject: how to transfer directly between BARD APP and pc with UbiDisk

Transfering books from PC using Wi-Fi.

I use a free app called UbiDisk.
Easily transfer files from PC to your I Devices.

It even comes with a free windows program with a context menu
allowing
you to select a file on your PC, press the applications key then
choose
easy push to send that file to your iPhone.
Remember the Bard books must be zipped before sending to the iPhone.

UbiDisk is great and has many uses!

Be sure to install the Easy Push program for Windows.
its very easy and convenient.

Now here is how to send books or any other files from your PC to the
iPhone, iPod or iPad.
On your PC find the file you want to send to the iPhone.
press the applications key
choose send with easy push
the easy push window will open.
the list will be empty untill you start the Ubidisk app on the iPhone.
then your iPhone will appear on the list.
select it and press enter.
your iPhone will ask if you want to accept the file.
tap on accept to start the transfer
when transfer is finished, tap on done.
Now back on the ubidisk main window choose local files
Once the book is sent to UbiDisk, find it, most likely to be in the
Downloads folder if you used the easy push.

right beneath the file name is a more info followed by the file name
button. double tap to open it
then look for the action button,
then choose open in....
Bard will be on that list.
good luck!

Thanks,
Rob
